An institution can be qualified as an ANBI, translated as Public Benefit Organisation, when at least 90% of the institutions efforts are focused on the general good. This general good is a charity in our case. We are currently working on applying for an ANBI application. An ANBI qualifcation is attractive for donors since donations to an ANBI-status foundation can result in certain tax benefits. For example, ANBI donors can deduct their donations from their income tax.
